Freshman Head Coach

James Carver

My name is James Carver and I am the Head Freshman Football Coach. I have coached here at Tolleson Union High School going on my fourth year and third year as the Head Freshman Coach. I am also a product of our community to where I graduated from Tolleson Union High School in 1991 where I played football and wrestled. This is the place where I learned about commitment and hard work. After graduating from Tolleson I walked on to play football at Phoenix College which lasted one season till I realized my true calling. I then enlisted into the United States Marine Corps where I served twenty years and then retired. During my multiple duty stations and life experiences I was able to start my coaching aspirations in youth sports with my two sons, coaching football, wrestling and baseball. Since retiring from the Marine Corps I enjoy mentoring our leaders of tomorrow by teaching at Tolleson Union High School and coaching football along with giving instruction in the weight room.  Coach Carver is married to his loving Wife Delores and they have a two sons Angelo (24) and Robert (17).
